We bring a particular and special set of knowledge and skills to our general field of business consultancy.
Where other firms have expertise that’s a mile wide and an inch deep, we focus on creating experiences and bring deep expertise in three key areas – anthropology, design and consultancy.
Our capability in design, particularly design thinking, lets us explore and solve business problems. The design mindsets are particularly suited to volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous challenges. Design thinking involves the mindsets of focusing on human values, prototyping and experimenting, iterating, choosing when to apply convergent and divergent thinking, and collaborating. Design is a proven way to reduce the risk of business change and innovation.
Our experience in anthropology lets us use qualitative research and an understanding of macro forces to deeply understand groups of people. It relies heavily on ethnographic methods and mindsets to achieve good research outcomes, and places field learnings within a wider societal and cultural context. We use our deep understanding of people to help identify the need for business change, opportunities for customer experience improvement, and the impact that solutions are likely to have.
Our capability in consultancy means that we work with clients to help solve the problems that matter to them, in a way that it is right for them. We apply our knowledge from other engagements to help spot opportunities for enhancing their business. We respect the knowledge and experience that our clients have, and simply bring our own knowledge and experience to the table in service of their goals. We work to help our clients achieve greatness and receive the recognition they deserve, not to receive recognition ourselves. We monitor and are aware of budgets, timelines and the wider context of our engagements.
We are a small, tight-knit team of highly skilled, high-performing professionals. We have a pretty flat structure. Each team member has different skills, different levels of expertise, different backgrounds, slightly different areas and levels of responsibility. We complement each other, work together tightly, and support each other well. Projects always involve multiple team members.
